Further to an earlier post in March, the AGM is booked for Wednesday, June 24.

Call for Nominations – Shelagh Mikulak Library Leadership Award

April 29, 2015

The Shelagh Mikulak Library Leadership Award was created to recognize a current member of CLLG who has shown leadership and outstanding service to the law library profession in the recent past. This award honours the contributions and dedication Shelagh had shown to the group and the profession as a whole.

The name of the nominated person must be accompanied by signed letters from the nominator and at least two (2) additional CLLG members in support of the nominee. Submission in electronic format is acceptable, so long as there is either an electronic signature on the documents and/or the submission is linked to the individual’s business e-mail address. All nominations must be e-mailed to me by end of day May 25, 2015. For further information on the award and nomination process, please visit the Shelagh Mikulak Library Leadership Award page.

SLA mini-conference: Exploring SharePoint

SLA’s next mini-conference will explore the many aspects of SharePoint – from setup and rollout, to training and marketing, and lessons learned.  There will be 3 speakers followed by a Q&A session.  Lunch is included.

When: Friday, April 24, 2015 from 1 – 4:30 pm

Fees (payable at session):

$15 for SLA members
$20 for non-members

The Foothills Library Association is offering a presentation on “Cool Tools” where they promise you will learn something new in 2 minutes flat! “Presentations will show attendees a gadget, software, hardware, video, website or trick that is tried and true and that has the potential to make our lives as information professionals a little easier”.
